Secretaries to the Sanggunian and their staff at various levels of local government play significant roles in the entire process of developing the community and managing the affairs of the LGU. They help shape the future development course of the local area by contributing to the very essence and substance of legislative measures the Sanggunian formulates and adopts with the end view of transforming the LGU into a progressive community.

This five-day capability enhancement course aims to upgrade the know-how and skills of sanggunian secretariat in effectively and efficiently performing their tasks and obligations to the public as part of the whole LGU Management Team whose principal duty is to respond to the service needs of constituents. It tackles important topics such as:

     Development Roles of the Sanggunian Secretariat
     Housekeeping in the Sanggunian
     Formulation of Ordinances/Resolutions
