ABOUT THIS PUBLICATION
This edition of the readings on local government serves as a culmination of the Center for Local and Regional Government’s (CLRG) celebration of more than a half century experience.
The collection follows on the theme of evaluating our past and addressing more current concerns. In this collection are chapters covering continuing issues such as citizen participation; local autonomy; the Bangsamoro and decentralization; as well as contemporary and emerging concerns such as Federalism, inclusivity and information and communication technologies (ICTs).
It is a compilation of the knowledge created from the various research and extension work done at CLRG. There are chapters written by past directors, trainers and affiliates, research that the center has conducted, and joint work done by the research, extension, and professional staff (REPS) of the Center. ‘Local Matters’ complements other knowledge products that CLRG has produced for its golden anniversary which includes policy briefs, journal articles and contributions to international conferences.
This book is a contribution to our vision of CLRG as a knowledge-driven community. As a community of practice, this collection is testament to the knowledge that the CLRG community has enriched, and continue to nurture. They are local matters that Filipinos should be concerned about, and provide lessons local government leaders could build upon.

A flat PhP 100.00 delivery fee will be charged as well to those residing in the Greater Manila area (NCR, Bulacan, Batangas, Laguna, Cavite & Rizal (Antipolo & Montalban).
