Women, Children, and Health Crisis Management at the Local Level
(via Zoom)
July 31, 2020 (Friday)
2:00 PM
2:00 PM
Topic 1: Gendered Approach to Local COVID Management in the Philippines.
The global pandemic amplifies the vulnerabilities of marginalized groups, among them women. LGUs are well-situated to respond to the gendered impacts of COVID-19 at the community-level. How does the health crisis affect women and girls differently? What can LGUs do to adopt an inclusive, rights-based, pro-women approach in local COVID response?
Topic 2: Protecting the Filipino Children in Time of COVID-19 Pandemic.
Children are not only at risk of contracting the coronavirus. They face a number of risks and issues during the quarantine period. What are these risks? How can they be mitigated and managed?
The webinar will bring together researchers from the Center for Local and Regional Governance as speakers, and experts and practitioners as reactors. Participants can ask questions or share their experiences during the open discussion.
