Simeon A. Ilago

Profile:


Simeon A. Ilago is an Associate Professor at the National College of Public Administration and Governance, University of the Philippines, teaching subjects such as local government, public policy, research methods, mass communication, and management. He was a former Director of the Center for Local and Regional Governance (CLRG) and Publications Office of UP-NCPAG. He also worked as a University Researcher/Associate with the Local Government Center, College of Public Administration, University of the Philippines. In addition, he worked with Management Communication Systems as a research assistant and a part-time technical writer when he was still a student.

He served as a consultant for distinguished institutions such as World Bank, Local Government Academy of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ), SNV Netherlands and the Asian Development Bank. He also served as a resource person for numerous occasions involving local governance, decentralization, and capacity building for local government.  

Prof. Ilago holds two master’s degrees: one in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines and the other in Public Policy from the Graduate Institute of Policy Science, Saitama University, Japan.
