About LPPCL 2022

The Local Public Policy Course for Legislators (LPPCL) is a four-day short course designed specifically for the capacity development needs of the members of the Philippine Councilors League – Region I which incorporates learning points on basic local governance and legislation as well as the unique concerns on confidence and context.

KEY BENEFITS

METHODOLOGY

The course will be employing a mixture of learning approaches, particularly:
  • Interactive Lecture-Discussions
  • Small Group Discussions
  • Guided Workshops

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

  • Attendance in ALL sessions
  • Participation in exercises/workshops
  • Submission of module output/s (as applicable)

Fulfilment of course requirements is done by a Compliance Committee which follows the UP and CLRG extension rules. Participants will be fully informed about these requirements through pre-training communications, course briefings and daily reminders

CERTIFICATION

Participants who fulfill the above Course Requirements will be given a Certificate of Completion.

About UP CLRG | localgov.up.edu.ph
The Center for Local and Regional Governance is a unit of the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) that is specially designed to conduct research on, training for and consulting with local governments. UP CLRG conducts a ladderized Local Legislative Program (enrolment basis) as well as customized courses mainly for local government associations or particular local governments.
​
For the LPPCL, CLRG shall administer the course through its professional training team and in-house and affiliate experts. CLRG training teams that are deployed for courses are made up of UP professors and CLRG affiliate experts who are mostly practitioners, incumbent or former local officials or widely recognized subject matter experts.
