Former CLRG Director Brillantes appointed as CHED Commissioner

27 September 2013

UP NCPAG Professor and former CLRG Director and NCPAG Dean Dr. Alex Brillantes, Jr. has been appointed by President Benigno Aquino III as a commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Dr. Brillantes' appointment together with Dr. Minella Alarcon is seen as part of boosting the science and technology track of CHED's programs.

Dr. Brillantes will be serving his term at CHED until 2017. He became director of the Center twice and has continuously been part of its research, training and consultancy work. He also served as Executive Director of the Local Government Academy.
