Special Courses for Barangay Officials

Aside from the sectoral affairs being done in the barangay, the Barangay Chairman and Barangay Kagawads are also expected to provide an enabling environment in implementing policies, plans, programs and projects at their level. Likewise, being small political units also entails similar challenges and issues with that of adjacent barangays. Like what we do with the provincial, city and municipal levels, CLRG also makes sure that barangay council members are properly oriented with the basics of legislation in crafting barangay resolutions. In other cases, they are encouraged to link with neighboring barangays to implement and craft more effective measures. Higher tiers of LGUs also tap the Center in bringing together all barangay leaders for a coordinated approach in handling affairs both at the barangay and city/municipal levels.
