Courses at CLRG

The knowledge and skills imparted in CLRG’s courses are based on lessons learned and best practices from the field. Course materials often include knowledge products from the Center’s research program. Our resource persons come from a pool of experts from the academe and practitioners. Our tutors and facilitators are trained in various methods to generate insights and learning from the coursework and collaborative exercises making it an enriching and unparalleled experience.

Customized Courses

Class sizes are controlled to maximize the opportunities for participants to interact with highly skilled resource persons.  Courses involve individual coursework, case studies, simulations, and small group exercises. We take pride in requiring our students to have a re-entry plan or activity when they return back to their posts.
We offer courses for: local chief executives, local legislators, local government staff, non-government organizations, business units dealing with local governments, and people planning to run for public office. Students who complete the requirements receive UP-authorized certification.
Courses are generally short, intensive week-long sessions, but can be delivered as shortened weekend versions, month-long half-day sessions, or one- to two-day “know and inform” seminars. We can also tailor or customize courses to meet special capacity development needs.
CLRG’s  client-oriented courses are held at the National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG) at the UP Diliman campus in Quezon City and or in the field when possible. CLRG can also provide options for a third off-campus location which is conducive to learning.
