Development of Knowledge Products

With our background in local governance training and research, it is but natural for our partners and clients to expect from us practical materials which can directly be used and digested by elected and appointed local government officials. Over the years, we have worked with two major institutions in developing knowledge products like guidebooks, handbooks, manuals and learning modules.

CLRG has worked with the Local Government Academy (LGA) in the development of the first editions of some of their training and publication materials since 2007. Some of these are the Essential Steps for the first 100 Days of Newly Elected Governors, City Mayors, Municipal Mayors and Punong Barangays. We have likewise assisted LGA in the preparation of the Guide for Effective Barangay Governance and the Manual on Crafting a Citizen’s Charter. We also largely contributed in writing the Localizing the HIV and AIDS Response: Local Government Guide for Practical Action which was published in 2011 as part of LGA and UNDP’s partnership program for HIV and AIDS.

In 2008, CLRG was fortunate to have collaborated with the then DTI-BSMED and GIZ-Decentralization Program for the development of the published (red) Toolkit for Simplifying Business Permit and Licensing Process of Local Governments. With the continuing support of GIZ-DP for the succeeding two years, we prepared and pilot-tested in Cebu municipalities and cities the Learning Modules for BPLS Streamlining and finalized the Training Manual.

CLRG is currently preparing (10) commodity technology-guide for DA-BAR for publication and video dissemination.

Should you need assistance in preparing your organization’s handbooks, manuals, training materials or other such knowledge products, we would be glad to help you so Contact Us.
